Funny story. Why I joined Scentsy,
I actually never ever imagined myself getting into direct sales but my cousin had just joined Scentsy and had asked me to do a Scentsy home party. I immediately thought of 5 reasons that I could give her
1. I don't know enough people to come
2. My house is small
3. I don't feel like cleaning
4. I have little kids
5. just didn't want to.
I am all about going to other people's parties and buying, I just didn't have the time myself (or so I thought)
She was relentless, she said okay how about a basket party? To get her off my back I said I would. This was in October and the fall/winter catalogs and Christmas flyers had just been released. I took the book/basket party to work and my coworkers literally ate it up. So I showed it to my family and friends. They also ate it up, it was time for me to close my party and my cousin offered me the opportunity to keep the party, all the host rewards and the comission! It was a no brainer, I joined that day! It quickly snowballed from there people love Scentsy. It basically sells itself. I think people can see how much passion and love I have for this company and its truely contagious! In my first year with a small team I earned the Scentsy incentive all expenses paid trip to Hawaii. In my 2nd year I earned a all expenses paid trip for my husband and myself to Atlantis Bahamas, our honeymoon we never got. In my 3rd year I earned a all expenses paid royal Caribbean Cruise all along the southern Caribbean islands another cruise to Cozumel Mexico and just this last summer we went to Disneyworld all expenses paid ...FREE!!! I work full time in a pediatric dental office and have 2 children who are both a handful. Lol if I can do this so can you. This product has been a bonding experience for my 7 year old daughter. She thinks she is a consultant also. She goes with me to parties and at times, I swear she knows more about the products then I do. There is not a order that leaves my house that she doesn't check. 😊 it has Definitely helped my family financially. My husband is a construction worker and he usually gets laid off from work around late November to march. The last 4 years we haven't struggled to buy Christmas gifts or pay the mortgage during the tight months he is not working. I sell Scentsy because I love it, it has truely been a blessing to my family. If I can do it so can you. I just wish I had started sooner. The time will always pass by, it what you Choose to do with it that matters. 😊
So what I learned is that
1. I do have enough friends and family to help support my buisness.
2. Small houses are cozy for parties...😊
3. I did awesome with a book party...and I didn't have to clean.
4. My kids love Scentsy and helping mom do something cool. Or atleast playing in the big boxes scentsy is delivered in. 😊
5. I can't believe I didn't want to when my cousin asked me the first time!!!
